Helen is an actor and writer, originally from Limerick, living in Dublin. Awarded Axis Assemble Artist 2022 and Pavilion Theatre Studio Residencies in 2022 & 2023, Helen undertook part-time training at the Gaiety School of Acting, a two year programme of devising & physical theatre with At Large Theatre Company and has attended the Blue Raincoat Winter academy in 2019 & 2022 where she undertook masterclasses in movement with Michael Keegan Dolan and voice with Marianne Le Tron & David Goldsworthy.

Recent work for film includes the role of Queen of the Hot Damn for independent American feature film, THE GLITCH AND THE GHOST directed by Zoe Quist. This was filmed on location at Ardgillan Castle in late 2023. 

TV appearances include DER IRLAND KRIMI (Good Friends/Tailored Films) directed by Matthias Tiefenbacher. Helen is currently finalising her first full length script for a solo play, HOME with support from The New Theatre.

Recent theatre appearances include A CHRISTMAS VISIT, a new play written and directed by Stewart Roche, produced by Corps Ensemble that ran in The Viking Theatre, The Mill, Dundrum and The Civic, Tallaght.

Helen formed part of the ensemble cast in AboutFace Theatre's THE DEVIL HIMSELF (Smock Alley, Main Space) - a world premiere written and directed by Paul Nugent.  She also appeared in Garret Baker's THE WAR WOUNDED, directed by Mo O'Connell, which premiered at Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival. Helen recently developed a theatre piece called BIRTH STORY, with Berlinda Mapa and Gráinne Curistan which she performed on European Researcher's Night at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin.

She loves physical theatre/storytelling, movement and mime as well as children’s theatre. She holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate. Helen holds a PhD in Economics from Dublin City University, has over 13 years lecturing experience and has worked as a senior researcher for a number of social justice organisations.
