Tiernan graduated the Gaiety School of Acting full-time course in June 2011.
Since graduating Tiernan’s stage appearances include ‘I Was an Emperor’ (Five stars). Launcelot/Salanio in ‘The Merchant of Venice’. Rosencrantz in ‘Hamlet’. Cassio in
‘Othello’. Friar Laurence in ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Tomas in ‘The Last Crusader’ (…’A scene stealing
cameo from Tiernan Kearns’ – Peter Crawley, Irish Times Review). Tiernan produced, wrote and
acted in ‘Extinct’ in Theatre Upstairs to great reviews. Tiernan played the voice and breath of Ollie in
‘The Carved Soul’ (Tiger Dublin Fringe 2014).
Most recently Tiernan featured in the live RTE production ‘Centenary’. Other televisions credits
include Terry in the RTE/BBC Series ‘Roy’.
